How to Find Old Facebook Messages

This shows you exactly how to read your old chat messages on Facebook. You can do this from within the Facebook Carrier application, or you can use the desktop Facebook internet site.

: > Log-in to your Facebook account. Click in the "Messages" button at the top of the Facebook display.

: > Click "See All."

: > Click in the "Search Messages" area and get in a search term. Click on the "Search" switch or press "Enter" on your keyboard.

: > Scroll down the list of messages to locate the message. You may require to click on "Load Older Thread" at the end of the screen to show even more messages.

: > View archived messages by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the "Archived" web link at the end of the page. Scroll through your archived messages, if required.

Tips: If you erased the message from Facebook Messenger, you likely will not be able to retrieve them.

Warnings: You can not reply to archived messages.
